DCMTR started out as an idea in May 2016 with a small group of members that were dedicated and determined to find a way to raise money for making Christmas a little merrier for the underprivileged children of Dare County. With a desire to help our community, a love of riding motorcycles, with the love of children, it only seemed natural t
DCMTR started out as an idea in May 2016 with a small group of members that were dedicated and determined to find a way to raise money for making Christmas a little merrier for the underprivileged children of Dare County. With a desire to help our community, a love of riding motorcycles, with the love of children, it only seemed natural to do a Motorcycle Toy Run. September 2016 saw our first Toy Run. What a huge success it was.
We received our Non-Profit status in Nov. 2016. One condition that was etched in stone was that we reach all of Dare County , that includes Hatteras Island and all the border areas of the county.
Another local group caught our attention and we joined with the Cat5 Jeep club and became the Dare County Motorsports Charity Group. Our new friends bought so much to the table, and we exploded into a premier fund raising group for the Children.
This new marriage has proven to be magical to say the least, the need of fund raising, the ability to assemble at the drop of a hat, has made us the go to group for events to help folks out.

The loudest, ground pounding. heart thumping and flashy partner we have made is Garage Band Charities. Most folks ask what is that group, a bunch of bands?
I usually just hang my head and say "Yep"
What it is is a dynamic trio that have put together a Rod and Custom Festival that brings together the wildest, Badest, street machines you have ever seen. Michael, Richard and Sara have spun the magic and have brought Hot Wheels to life in an annual charity fund raiser that is taking names and kicking Asphalt!
